MasterClad Systems doesn't have a 50 year history of its own, but it's built on one. Here's how the division came about.
Long before MasterClad existed, Mark Hornsey founded Hornsey Steels Ltd in Bucknell, Shropshire, beginning a family business that would go on to manufacture roofing and cladding products for over three decades.
Samuel Hornsey took over the running of the growing business from his father, Mark, and continued to expand the company's manufacturing capability and product range over the years that followed.
Drawing on Hornsey's manufacturing expertise, the MasterBar Roof & Wall Spacer System was engineered in-house and independently tested by Lucideon in accordance with EAD 200012-00-0401:2015, ready to bring a new level of performance to built-up twin-skin roofing and wall applications.
MasterClad Systems Ltd now operates as a dedicated division of Hornsey Steel Panels and Sections Ltd, manufacturing the MasterBar Roof & Wall Spacer System from our own depot and trade counter in Worcestershire. We carry the same family values and manufacturing standards as Hornsey, with a focus on this one system done well.
